How To Be Inspired

When inspiration strikes great things happen.

Spark of inspiration, Darcey CroftBreathless excitement. Intensified focus. Abundant energy. Enlightened creativity. Heart stopping moments of brilliance. And of course THAT smile, the one that slows the world to the strong rhythmic heartbeat of existence. All conspiring to link together a chain of marvellous events.

Imagine how great you could be if you always felt inspired. Imagine how great you would be inspiring others. Imagine what it feels like to be that spark.

For most of us though there is a short supply. Overwhelming distractions and daily demands make it difficult to see the abundance that exists within you. But the good news is that unlocking your inspiration isn’t hard.

You just need to dream a little.

Albert Einstein, a man who excelled at being inspired said:

He knew that inspiration comes from within you. It is an awakening, a quickening of all your senses. By putting your heart, mind and soul into your smallest intentions the chances of finding inspiration along the way are high. Great things are likely to happen. Good things will happen.

When that spark ignites it usually comes in a flash. If you are lucky to grasp the moment you may think that it has come from another source. Such as someone or something. But whatever the trigger, know that this inspiration is actually your personal interpretation. The someone or something that caused the spark is a gift, a subconscious intervention. Notice what you feel and go with it.

Inside of you, it is here that inspiration dwells and intention is born. It is what you do with this intention that will make a difference, to you, others and maybe even the world.

Remember this is a spark and glimmer of what could be. With immediate action the light will burst forth and you will inspire.

However a word to the wise, don’t let the spark fade before taking action, because all the effort in the world wont matter if you are not inspired. If your hearts not in it, then you’ll be trudging through treacle.

Thomas Edison had 999 sparks fade before his lightbulb moment and was quoted

Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety nine percent perspiration Click To Tweet

And when you feel that spark ignite. You can do anything. No mountain will be too high. No trouble will be too difficult to overcome.

Here is one of my favourite quotes by Marianne Williamson. It always reminds me to let my sparks fly:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically.
